The beer-fueled running of the urinals continued in 2008 at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore even though preventative measures were taken in the Preakness Day infield. A urinal runner tries to make a leap from one row of portable johns to another — and fails as he falls short. He hit the side of the unit and crumpled as he hit the ground head first. He was conscious when taken away, ending his day in the infield before the 133rd Preakness at Pimlico. The gap was supposed to stop the runners.
