A few months later she would appear on the national stage as the unrest follwing the death of Freddie Gray roiled Baltimore. Mosby's office prosecuted six police officers involved in the fatal injury of Gray while in police custody. Batts was later relieved of his duties over the Gray case and Rawlings-Blake has announced she will not run for mayor again.
